1. If you do not have Ultima Online you can download it from multiple places online. However, due to laws we are not allowed to post a link to the actual client download. To look for places to download the client you can do a search online or check at http://www.uo.com for the location of the client download.
Once you have it downloaded and installed it will ask you if you want to make an account. Tell it NO.
You will have to run the game once this way to patch it up. So once installed, run the game and allow it to patch, then close the game.
2. Check to see if you have the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 . If you go to Add/Remove Programs in Your Control Panel, it should be listed along with any other version you have. You need different versions for different things so if you have 3.0, no it wont work. You have to have 2.0. If you do not have it you will have to go to www.microsoft.com to download. Make sure you get Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 . If you download ConnectUO, (the next step) and you do not have it, it should prompt you when you try to run it, but some people could not get it to auto download the .NET Framework so you may have to do it as a separate step, but you can
skip this and take your chances going on but be aware if it doesn't work, this would be the most likely reason.
3. Download Razor (Important!!! If you are patched up past version 5.0.6e UOGateway no longer works neither does ConnectUO to get into CoV!!!) Also the link for Connect UO is below but Connect UO down for now....

Once you have this downloaded and installed run it.
Once its open, double click Public Servers to the Left Screen.
To the Right near the top will be a 'Sort" option. Tell it to sort by Name and Champion of Virtues will be the first Shard under the C's because they will be listed alphabetically then.
Double Click Champion of Virtues then use the left link for "My Favorites".
Champion of Virtues should be listed on your favorites list, Double click it and your game should start right up.
****IMPORTANT : A download will start!!! Let it install and don't stop it. It is patching in the unique content we have on Champion of Virtues. If you stop it you will end up in areas with invisible things you cant see and you wont be able to move.******
4. If this is the first time you have logged into Champion of Virtues a few things you should know....
A. To make an account just type in a name and password the first time. It creates the account when you make it so remember what you used so that when you log in again you use the same account.
B. You can make up to 2 accounts on Champion of Virtues per IP address. If you need more accounts per IP, say you have a family playing, you must contact shard owner Tannis or Victoria. No other staff member, including administrators can add more accounts for you..
5. One other tool you might eventually consider downloading is:
UO Automap (a map tool so you know where you are and arent lost all the
time)

To play on CoV (Champion of Virtues) you will need a clean install of Ultima Online: Samurai Empire on your computer. If you have played on other shards, please make sure you have no custom files (verdata, hues, map, etc.) installed. Otherwise, you will have to uninstall or delete Ultima Online from your hard disk, and install it again.
